Synopsis for "The Fantastic Frerps"

Though manipulation of a road sign and the creation of a phony GREPS building King Plasto steals some plastic powder as the Superfriends prepare for a charity golf game. Just before the Superfriends leave Mike Rosecope calls and tells them his shipment is 20 minutes late. Batman tells him that if it is an hour last to contact them at the golf course. As the Superfriends do their charity golf game King Plasto observes them from a shack. Superman accidentally hits a ball too far requiring Marvin and Wonder Dog to look for it. They stumble on to the shack which turns out to be a FRERPS building on top of King Plasto's truck. They are taken to the entrance to King Plasto's lair and run back to tell the Superfriends but are assumed to have been dreaming due to their view of events being so fantastic.

Inside his lair King Plasto explains that thanks to a secret ingredient he has created a superior version of FRERPS. He also reveals that his version of FRERPS comes in two types: solid (for items that are run by machines) and inflatable (for objects that remain stationary like buildings). He then creates a tub boat and dock for his next caper.

At the Hall of Justice, Rosecope explains that GREPS efforts to develop a new plastic has been delayed by a host of thefts (both raw plastic and their formulas). We learn (but not the Superfriends) that his assistant Polly Lean is actually in league with King Plasto and sending him information via her broach. Deciding to keep Superman busy King Plasto uses two FRERPS geese to create a UFO and a Killer Whale. As Superman and Aquaman deal with the chaos these two events are causing Batman uses the anagram board and comes up with 'Stop Al' and Robin assumes that this is some villain named Al is daring the Superfriends to stop him. Marvin trips over Wonder Dog and the letter fall to form the name 'Plasto' and Batman deduces that Roy La Post is derived from King Plasto.

Checking out the area they can't figure out to get in. Batman drives around looking for another entrance Robin remembers that a oversea shipment of plastic for GREPS is sailing in. Meanwhile, Marvin and Wendy get in and take two eggs: KPS and RG. At the waterfront Batman and Robin see King Plasto driving bay and phony GREPS truck and give chase. Styro uses various FRERP eggs finally stopping the batmoble with an instant factory (made of solid FRERP). Arriving at the Hall of Justice Wonder Woman opens the two eggs. Polly Lean leaves her broach behind as she goes to tell King Plasto what is going on.

King Plasto tries to create enough emergencies to distract Wonder Woman from making a FRERP solvent but fails. Returning to King Plasto's lair Marvin, Wendy, and Wonder Dog are chased around the FRERPs Arena throwing out FRERP eggs until the Superfriends arrive ironically chaing King Plasto and his companions into their own jail.
