Synopsis for "Superboy's Legion"

In the year 2987, R.J. Brande and Marla Latham discovered a baby in a life pod, while exploring the Diadem asteroid belt. Brande later adopted the baby, who later became Superboy by 3001, and in that year, the elder Brande told his son that he was disappointed in him, so he flew away. He attempted to join the Green Lantern Corps, but was rejected, so he formed a Legion with Imra Ardeen (later known as Saturn Girl) and Rokk Krinn (Cosmic Boy) after helping them fight a blister beast.

Later, Sun Boy, Colossal Boy, Element Lad, Shrinking Violet, Bouncing Boy, and Shadow Lass were all accepted into Superboy's Legion, while Brande was worried and the Science Police decided to take no action and only observe, in response. Some rejected applicants decided to form their own team, while the Legion decided to make an attempt to save Rimbor from being destroyed by an asteroid. With help from Lyle Norg, Querl Dox, and Starboy, Superboy was able to shatter the asteroid before Jo Nah (reluctantly), Tinya Wazzo, and Reep Daggle all joined the Legion. Star Boy suggested that an outside force had destroyed Daxam, Xanthu, and Ghek (all of which were believed to have been destroyed by natural disasters) before he was interrupted by the Fatal Five, who injured Cosmic Boy and Tinya, killed Colossal Boy, and completed their mission to capture Querl. Their client revealed himself to be Lex Luthor and asked them if they wanted to join him in a conquest that he had spent a millennium planning.
