Synopsis for "With This Ring, I Thee Kill"
Lex Luthor, now heavily bandaged from his first fight with Superboy, has had extensive plastic surgery, but laments that it still has caused him to age fifteen years prematurely. Warren Eckworth, a wealthy industrialist and noted philanthropist, has built a weapon called the "Superboy gun", both believing it has the same destructive power of Superboy and in honor of the Boy of Steel. Superboy appears at an air show to demonstrate the gun's effectiveness, but Lex sabotages the event to ramp up the power. Superboy is harmed, but not killed. Lex later takes off his bandages, revealing he is now an exact double of Warren Eckworth, then murders Leo to tie up loose ends. He murders the real Mr. Eckworth and takes over his company. Lex then engages in bridal kidnapping of Lana, and uses the gun on Superboy, burying him under a brick wall. The series ends with Superboy possibly having been killed, or likely rendered paraplegic.
