"Caught!": Ken and Lanie, a happy pair, arrive in Hawaii to "shoot" someone...

Superboy (Volume 4) #43 is an issue of the series Superboy (Volume 4) with a cover date of September, 1997.

Synopsis for "Caught!"

Ken and Lanie, a happy pair, arrive in Hawaii to "shoot" someone...

Superboy still feels bad over the death of Mo-o, but Dubbilex reminds him that he is supposed to be under house arrest and so they had better return to the Compound straight away. Superboy decides to fly back, but Dub elects to take a cab. Unbeknownst to them, the couple from the airport is monitoring them.

At The Compound, SB's friend Hillary Chang is watching the place for him when several of her friends arrive. She gives them the grand tour until Mack Harlin shows up looking for Superboy, and she does her best to distract him. When Dubbilex gets there, he also tries to cover for the Kid.

On his way home, Superboy realizes that he promised to get Hilary a present and so stops at the local mall. While there, Lanie jumps off a seven story building, guessing correctly that he'll swoop out of the sky and rescue her. As he catches her, Ken snaps a photo of the two of them. SB is very confused, but they explain that this is how they get a thrill -- by taking pictures of Lanie being rescued by heroes, and they've already got over a hundred. Superboy is not amused at their stunt, but they act very flippant about it, joking how they see Batman as the ultimate prize. The Kid takes their film and destroys it, then flies off straight for home. Fortunately for the couple, the film that got destroyed was a dummy roll.

Mack finally finds the Kid -- relaxing in the hammock behind the Compound, finally taking it easy.
