Synopsis for "Dangerous Curves - Demolition Run Pt 1 of 2!"
Superboy and Guardian do a little training on Easy Street, a mock setup of Suicide Slum located in Cadmus. Mick Cannon is impressed by them both. Dubbilex undergoes a physical, but Dr. Serling Roquette finds nothing wrong with him, though Dub senses that she is lying. Mick comes in and offers the position as head of genetics to Dubbilex, much to the DNAlien's surprise.
Superboy is attracted to Dr. Roquette, who is just about his age, but she is totally oblivious to his interest, having set her sights on Guardian. Mick interrupts and asks Superboy to go with him on a drive, using the Whiz Wagon. They go out to Habitat, the tree city grown by the Hairies, where they run into one of them named Yango, who is there looking for a supposed squatter. He tells them that the Demolition Run is about to begin, the ultimate race. While they talk, someone boosts the Whiz Wagon.
Superboy flies off in pursuit, though it's not easy keeping up with the Whiz Wagon. His world comes to a skidding halt (at 500 mph) when he realizes that the driver is none other than Roxy! She guides the Whiz Wagon in position as the Demolition Run begins. The race contestants boast all kinds of impressive and hi-tech vehicles that move in land and air. The race is nothing less than lethal, as the contestants (or combatants as it were) use all manner of weapons to blast each other out of the way. The Whiz Wagon is damaged and SB and Roxy are forced to land. Roxy says that her dad is in deep trouble and she needs a lot of money to help him out, the money that is being offered to the winner of the race. Superboy can't believe she didn't try to contact him after he made it back from the Wild Lands, especially since he considers her a sister.
Mick catches up via Yango and tells them that they have a race to win. SB and Roxy hop into the Wagon as Mick takes the wheel.
