- Is anything right? You don't seem to understand what happened here today, Gim. All my friends. The United Planets leadership-- Even my fellow Legionnaires-- Everyone was ready to believe the people of Imsk were traitors! It makes me wonder about the people I've chosen for friends. I guess I have a lot of reconsidering to do, Gim... And that's something I'd better do alone.

Notes
- Superboy mentions that the uncontrollable shrinking spell of Colossal Boy and Cosmic Boy is akin to something Brainiac One would dream up, but states that Brainiac is dead. It is unclear from context whether Superboy is referring to the fact that Brainiac simply would not be extant by the 30th Century, since his native time-period was 1000 years in the past, or to the recent defeat of Pulsar Stargrave in Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #227. If the latter, it should be indicated that Superboy in that issue stated that his fate of being punched into Colu's sun would merely be sufficient to "keep (Stargrave) out of trouble for a while," implying that he did not believe Stargrave was destroyed at the time.
Trivia
- R.J. Brande is not portrayed in the art as resembling anything like he usually does. Instead of a heavy-set man with a moustache and graying hair, he appears as a thin-framed man with a bald head and glasses.
