Supergirl/Prysm: Double Shot #1 is a one-shot with a cover date of February, 1998. It was published on December 17, 1997.

Synopsis for "Coming Home"

Prysm goes to the Monetti Estate in search of her former teammate Argent. Argent's father, Anthony Monetti, tells her that his daughter is no longer living with them, and he expresses his disapproval over her association with the Teen Titans.

Meanwhile in Leesburg, Fringe is skulking about the forests when he is set upon by a group of alien hunters led by Jugular - enforcer for the H'San Natall. The aliens manage to get the better of Fringe, but only because they had drugged the stream from which Fringe drinks, greatly weakening him. Jugular stands above him, declaring that the H'San Natall will break him of his gentle nature.

Back in town, Prysm arrives and begins calling out Supergirl's name. Supergirl eventually arrives and Prysm embraces her. She tells her that the Titans have broken up and that she has no other place to go. While the two talk, Prysm receives an empathic response from Fringe - part of the mental tether shared between all of the H'San Natall's Hybrid children. She flies off to go find him.

Meanwhile, Mickey and Tamara Gorman are driving across the Leesburg Creek Bridge when Jugular suddenly appears and attacks them. Fringe is present as well, but is still too weak to do anything. Jugular knows that the Gormans are Fringe's Earth parents, and he hopes that by placing them in danger, he will draw the presence of a creature known as the Entity. The Entity is a wraith-like being that resides within Fringe and is a being of primal rage and fury. It is the power of the Entity that Jugular truly covets. The ploy works and seeing the Gormans in danger trigger's the Entity's release. Supergirl and Prysm arrive on the bridge just as the Entity emerges. The Entity answers to no one however, not even Jugular. It attacks Jugular and tosses him off the bridge.

With the threat seemingly aleviated, the Gormans bring Supergirl, Prysm and Fringe back to their home. Tamara Gorman explains that Fringe is her child. When he was born, Mickey Gorman believed him to be a hideous abomination and a slight against God, so he tossed the infant off the Leesburg Creek Bridge, hoping that it would drown. The child obviously survived however and grew up in the forests around Leesburg. While the Gormans attempt to reconcile with their son, Supergirl and Prysm go into the other room for a private conversation. Prysm recalls how her parents were nothing more than virtual reality characters based upon old Earth television programs. Without any real family to cling to, she feels utterly and completely alone.
