Synopsis for "Who I Am"

Tan-On has talked Kara into skipping town to run away from LexCorp. He tells he was a scientist, sent to Earth by the Kryptonian Science Council to explore the planet. Upon landing, he was found by military troops, restrained and experimented on for decades. He interrupts his narration to warn LexCorp will be coming for them. Kara wants to find some safe place, but he doesn't think that's an option.

Back in Midvale, Dolly is seriously worried about Kara. She doesn't answer her cell phone and she hasn't gone to school. Having a hunch, she slips away in Coach Stone's office and snoops around, but she's caught.

Somewhere else, Tan-On goes on about humans being terrible. Kara disagrees. She's wondering who she can trust on when she gets another message: Dolly is being held hostage in LexCorp. She decides to head over there, and Tan-On insists on going with her.

Kara breaks in Midvale's LexCorp building. She notices Tan-On is nowhere to be found right before a Kryptonite trap knocks her down. She's taken to another underground lab managed by Professor Stone and strapped to a stretcher. Stone reaffirms she's trying to find a renewable source energy to save the planet. She keeps making excuses for her actions and Kara keeps calling her out on them.

Suddenly Tan-On walks into the lab and murders -nearly- everyone cold-bloodedly. Then he claims he's going to find the power source to destroy it. Kara wants find her friend, though. So Tan-On walks out, looks for Dolly and throws her off a building to show Kara a lesson. Horrified, Kara flies off, catches Dolly and takes her to safety. Then she flies back to the place to stop Tan-On from destroying the generator and blowing Midvale up.

Kara battles Tan-On. During the fight she regains her last missing memories. She tries to tell Tan-On Krypton is gone. He refuses to believe her, and infuriated, smashes the generator. The building catches fire, but Kara manages to freeze it. Tan-On has flown off, though, and Kara and Dolly realize they also need to get out of there.

Kara opens up to Dolly and explains everything. She's still worried about Tan-On. He's somewhere out there, sooner or later he'll come after her, and she doesn't know anything about her powers. Dolly suggests she needs to help. Some kind of super-human has just turned up in Metropolis. He saves people the whole time and his powers appear to be similar to hers so maybe he can teach her. The Daily Planet has started calling him Superman.

Next day, Kara prepares to leave Midvale. She pays her friend Jennifer's grave a visit after saying goodbye to her adoptive parents. LexCorp is watching them, but Jeremiah tells they'll handle it and gives her some traveling money. Kara takes off for Metropolis, and Dolly yells she's truly a Supergirl.

Somewhere else, Professor Stone and another man conference with LexCorp's owner... Lex Luthor. They know Kara has left Midvale, but Luthor states they must give priority to find their first experimental subject.

Kara is having lunch in a road dinner, pondering on her life when a patron screams out: Superman is flying by outside. Kara dashes off, puts on her cape and takes off. Finally, she and Superman meet.
