It's just... I'm so alone, y'know? It's so hard to make friends... and I'm not sure I even like the people in this school anyway. They all seem so... shallow and petty... And they smell! 
Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade #2 is an issue of the series Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade (Volume 1) with a cover date of March, 2009.
Synopsis for the 1st Story
Linda falls asleep in her science class, daydreaming of being a hero after spending a whole night herding cows back in a pen. When caught, her punishment is to write "I will not white about my life in Science Class" on the chalkboard. Sadly she accidentally puts her hand through said chalkboard.
Linda briefly daydreams about running away and becoming a respected hero in someplace -such like the Moon-. Realizing that setting up shop in the Moon is not a option, she tries to fix the blackboard and the wall. However, a bizarre accident with a chunk of kryptonite and a light projector creates a duplicate version of her, Belinda Zee.
Belinda is the opposite to Linda. Linda is a kind-hearted and nerdy girl, and Belinda is a popular and snarky jerkass; and since Linda wants people to love her, Belinda wants everyone to hate Linda, so she starts out a bullying campaign. Belinda goes so far as to manipulate Principal Picklemeyer into organizing a school election and force Linda to campaign for class president so she can campaign against the young hero and embarrass her further. When challenged about her actions, Belinda replies "it's normal to dislike yourself".
Belinda's plan fails when a new and brilliant student called Lena Thorul takes pity on Linda and builds a machine which makes Belinda temporarily believe she is a duck (it was supposed to be a mind-control device but it doesn't work right).
Linda makes friends with Lena, not knowing Lena's real surname is Lena Luthor.
