• This episode is the first part of the Crisis on Earth-X crossover with Arrow, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The story is continued in the Arrow episode, "Crisis on Earth-X, Part 2", that was broadcasted just after this episode.
• Although she is not actually named, this episode marks the first appearance of Nora-West Allen in the Arrowverse continuity. Her next, unnamed cameo will happen in The Flash episode, "The Elongated Knight Rises".

Trivia

• Although not directly named, the existence of Earth-X was originally supposed by Barry Allen in the Supergirl episode, "Worlds Finest".
• Kara jokes about the Dominators "being so last year" which is a homage to the Dominators being the antagonists of the previous Arrowverse crossover, Invasion!.
• Barry mentions discovering Kara's ability to sing after being imprisoned in Music Meister's dream reality in The Flash episode, "Duet".
