Supergirl (Volume 2) with a cover date of July, 1983.
Synopsis for "Re-Enter: Reactron"
The Doom Patrol tracks down Reactron and aids Supergirl in her battle with the villain. While Reactron is imprisoned in lead for a time, Tempest explains that their enemy
is really Sgt. Ben Krullen, a foe of his from a tour of duty in Viet Nam. Tempest first manifested his mutant powers to stop Krullen from massacring civilians in Viet Nam, and then deserted, fearful of his new abilities. He also explains that Krullen was irradiated during bomb tests conducted on the Army in the 1950's, and was turned into Reactron by the Council. Reactron breaks free of the lead imprisoning him, absorbs all the radioactivity in the experimental reactor, and blasts Supergirl. She manages to create a wind-funnel that draws him into the upper
atmosphere, where he explodes from radiation overload. But Supergirl crashes to the ground unconscious, and Robotman tells his teammates that his sensors detect an unknown radiation
Supergirl has absorbed from Reactron, which is killing her.
