Synopsis for "Be careful what you wish for..."
After having been on Earth for just a short time, Supergirl has grown weary of all of the hardship she has been made to undergo ever since her arrival. Despite having been away a long time, Kara returns to New York City to visit her friend Siobhan and say goodbye. She intends to seek another planet to live on, because Earth has been so harsh toward her. Grumpily, Siobhan explains that everybody is having trouble, and Supergirl is no different. Siobhan, for example, has her upstairs neighbour's sewage leaking through her ceiling. Kara claims her friend doesn't understand, but Siobhan angrily decides to return to her work, because Kara seems intent on pouting about her problems instead of fixing them. Unbeknownst to Siobhan, though, Kara is dying.
Two days later, Kara steals the KR-1 space-bike from Dr. Veritas' lab, and attempts to answer a cry for help. However, the cry for help is actually a ploy to lure her into a test of her heroism. She encounters a city in crisis, with buildings collapsing all over the place. Despite a language barrier, Kara instructs the citizens to keep out of the way while she catches the weight of a falling building on her back. Strangely, though, Kara can't see any reason for the destruction - until she comes face to face with a massive robotic creature called Crix. Unfortunately for Crix, she is not very receptive to monsters at the moment, and when it clamps her in its metal teeth, she unleashes a powerful blast of solar energy, destroying it. Looking at its remains, she realizes that everything on this planet - including Crix - is made of the same material.
Observing from afar, those who engineered this scenario for Kara watch her surprise as she is accepted by the crowd of people, and praised. They muse that she is experiencing acceptance for the first time since the death of Krypton, and her euphoria should make her less suspicious of their actions. They send a being called Delacore in the guise of a kindly older man to seduce her further into trusting them.
Delacore welcomes Kara to the planet I'noxia, and explains that while there was a significant amount of destruction, the planet is made of a substance called N-10, and everything can rebuild itself from that material. He tells Kara of how I'noxia was created to seek out and observe dying worlds for the purposes of recreating them, for posterity. With this unique ability, they can remake a world. For example, if she wished it, they could remake Krypton itself. To demonstrate this, he has her imagine the old stories she'd heard of Krypton, and they come to life before her eyes, all thanks to N-10. Better yet, they can go so far as to recreate the citizens of Krypton. The people of I'noxia are not individuals, so much as a collective consciousness. Delacore promises that with more information, they could completely recreate Krypton.
However, Kara is surprised when the Cyborg Superman appears, and challenges her to answer just what she'd be willing to do to make the dream they offer her come true.
