Synopsis for "Plain Sight, Part One"

Director Bones is overseeing The Blade's containment cells. His men have failed to discover Supergirl's identity so far, but they have successfully developed cages able to hold a Kryptonian. He walks by Magog's cage, and the metahuman shouts they should be working together. Bones replies he doesn't hate Supergirl; he merely wants to cage a dangerous metahuman who isn't under his control.

Kara Zor-El keeps striving to help people, but performing her hero duties has gotten harder. Half of people don't trust her, and the National City police and the D.E.O. are working together to put her away. Her boss is campaigning against Supergirl, her parents would rather her keep a low profile, and the D.E.O. is keeping the school under surveillance.

Her school is putting together a dance, but that Kara only sees a distraction, like her rival Belinda Zee getting on her nerves, or D.E.O. agents wandering around the halls. At one point she's asked to report to the principal's office, where Agent Ocampo looks to question her. Kara listens to an emergency during the interrogation, but she can't get away without arousing Ocampo suspicions. Fortunately, Supergirl's assistance isn't needed, but Kara can't help but worry.

At dinner, Kara puts her frustrations in words. Her parents are worried, but they still want her to be careful and aren't sure of how to help her. Since even her parents don't have any answers, Kara feels completely lost on how to approach her dilemma.

In the D.E.O., Bones meets with Shay Veritas. Veritas is less than thrilled with working for him, but Bones hints she can be thrown back into her out-dimensional prison if she refuses to cooperate. He wants her to make the metahumans she was trying to rehabilitate into weapons to take Supergirl down. Shay is infuriated, but Bones has already used a device called Psycho-Redactor to activate one of them: Shanon Vance, a. k. a. Project 746 a.k.a. Strange Visitor.

Strange Visitor turns up in National City Oceanside Memorial Park. She's dizzy and her memory is erratic. She died, but someone pulled her back. Then she gets angry, believing Supergirl to be responsible.
