Synopsis for "Crystal Clarity"

Supergirl and her allies have made a stopover in the planet Tavaar. As Kara tries to get relaxed and meditate, Krypto and Z'ndr Kol are bathing in a lake. Kara asks about Kol's bionic arm, and Kol explains he lost his arm when he was five. Nineteen years ago, he and his mother were on a Coluan refugee ship when they were attacked by someone who was targetting Coluans. Kol lost his mother but he was rescued from the wreckage by a person who would become his adoptive mother.

As they are talking, Krypto finds another crystal data. Kara gathers the crystals and Kol notices the symbol etched on all of them is as well carved in an obelisk he found at a Kryptonian outpost.[1] Kol pulls the stone out, and when the crystals are together, Rogol Zaar's Axe activates, and in conjuction with the crystals, starts playing Appa Ali Apsa's testament.

Not far from there, a group of Rogol's followers are approaching Tavaar, on the order of Lord Gandelo.

Apsa explains that himself, Sardath of Rann, the Thanagarian Defense Minister, King Myand'r of Tamaran and Empress Gandelo founded The Circle in secret to help to keep peace across the universe. However, Gandelo argued they needed to prevent evil instead of stopping it. Her partners disagreed, so Gandelo started to secretly annihilate races she deemed too dangerous.

At some point, the Council found Rogol Zaar and decided to turn him into their undercover agent. Though Zaar was too uncontrollable. Claiming his race had been killed by Kryptonians, he asked permission to destroy Krypton, but the Council forbade that he took action.[2] Nonetheless, Gandelo made him an offer: she would help him eliminate Krypton with a device she stole and reverse-engineered from Zor-El in exchange for his loyalty.

Meanwhile, Rogol Zaar, still stuck in the Phantom Zone, feels his axe calling him.

After hearing the story, Supergirl is speechless. Kol, though, has realized Gandelo, who took him in after his family's death, was their murderer all along. Kara tries to comfort him and states she'll bring the Circle to justice. Appa's hologram is urging her to present his confession to the Guardians of the Universe when the group is attacked by Zaar's followers.

Supergirl and her allies engage them. During the fight, Rogol Zaar's axe flies into her hands, and the Rogol's followers bow down to her.

Infuriated, Gandelo decides to kill Supergirl personally.
