Superman comes to the realization that as long as he is dating Lois her life will always be in danger. He decides that it would be best if Lois dates someone else. Superman runs Lois's profile through a computer to match her up with the best compatible bachelor. The computer selects Philip Karnes, a biochemist that has just invented an adrenaline formula that gives him temporary super strength.
Back at the daily planet, Lois is being introduced to Dr Olaroid. He wants Lois to test out the new X-6 camera that he just invented. He also wants Lois to figure out its secret in exchange for a $25,000 donation to charity.
Superman arranges for Karnes and Lois to meet by scooping him up in a wind tornado and landing him in front of Lois. As Karnes is landing, Lois snaps a picture of him with the X-6 camera. The picture develops but it is a picture of Superman. Lois and Karnes begin dating. During one if their outings they witness a helicopter attempting to pick up a boxcar full of gold. Karnes uses his super strength to throw a boulder at the cable severing it and preventing the robbery. Karnes remembers that he must not over-exert himself for another 24 hours to prevent fatal consequences. Lois takes more pictures of Karnes with her specialized camera but again the pictures that come out are of Superman. The next morning, Lois and Karnes witness a car speeding down the street trying to get away from the police. Lois uses a nearby fire hydrant to spray a jet of water on the car to slow it down. Karnes then uses his super strength to step in front of the car to stop it. Lois snaps another picture of Karnes in action but neglects to take off the lens cover. Just then the thugs in the getaway car start shooting at Lois. Karnes flips over the car with his strength to stop them. He falls to the ground knowing that his adrenaline formula has been fatal. Lois rushes to his side as he dies. The picture from the camera comes out and this time it is a picture of Karnes. The secret of the X-6 camera was that it takes a picture of the photographers thoughts.

Synopsis for "Introducing Melba!"
Police are pinned down outside an apartment building in Metropolis. A newscaster named Melba Manton crouches down next to the police and explains that the shooters name is Willy Deegan. Willy has been accused of murdering the apartment landlord but Melba believes that Willy has been framed and won't give up easily. Another police officer sneaks in an introduces himself as officer Phil Higgins. Higgins offers to talk to Willy but Melba thinks that's a bad idea. She decides that she must talk to Willy herself. She accesses an underground passageway and emerges right next to the apartment building. From there she climbs a fire escape leading her directly into Willy's window. Melba convinces Willy to give up and she escorts Willy outside through the front apartment building entrance. Just then, a shot rings out and Willy falls to the ground. The shooter turns out to be Phil Higgins who had disguised himself as a police officer to shoot Willy Deegan. Higgins had apparently murdered the apartment landlord himself and framed Deegan. He shot Deegan to keep him from talking but it is revealed that Deegan had a sheet of metal tucked under his shirt which prevented the bullet from harming him.
