Synopsis for "Jimmy Olsen's Super-Pet"
While destroying a glacier that is a threat to ships, Superman uncovers a frozen Dinosaur egg and brings it to Jimmy. The two hatch the egg and Jimmy decides to raise the Dinosaur, whom he names Danny, and enter it into an unusual pet competition. However, Danny proves to be more trouble than Jimmy anticipated due to the creatures gigantic appetite and it's sudden growth in height. Danny also proves to be unintentionally destructive, prompting Superman to show up and fix whatever mess Danny has gotten Jimmy into.
When the creature proves too clumsy to live in the city, they first try the Metropolis Zoo, but Danny doesn't like it there, so Superman builds him a free-range home. When the unusual pet competition is postponed for another week, Jimmy is upset because he cannot go another week raising a dinosaur. Deciding to accept his losses and send Danny somewhere where he can be happy, Jimmy has Superman build a time machine so that they can send Danny back to the prehistoric era he came from.
After doing so, Jimmy spots another dinosaur egg and realizes that Danny was actually a female dinosaur.

Synopsis for "The Trial of Jimmy Olsen"
Jimmy Olsen gets a letter from Joel Todd, the owner of the Smallville News who's paper is about to go out of business and he urgently needs Superman's help. With Superman in outer space on a mission, Jimmy comes up with an idea to try and save the paper: Putting on an auction selling Superboy's many souvenirs he left about Smallville to collect money to save the News.
Getting a leave of absence from Perry White, Jimmy goes to Smallville and visits various people and collecting their Superboy souvenirs. Jimmy collects them all and with the help of Superman begins to put them on auction. However, all the souvenirs turn out to be fakes that crumble upon purchase and Jimmy is arrested on accusations of being a fraud.
When put on trial, it becomes learned that not all the items were destroyed, just some of them, and not even testimony from Superman can clear Jimmy and he is found guilty and locked up. However, when Superman investigates the situation, he notices that only the souvenirs made of metal were the ones unaffected and deduces that they others were destroyed when he flew through a cloud of acid that compromised the objects. Presenting this proof to the judge, Jimmy is cleared and released from prison. They give the money to Todd who is able to keep his paper running. For his trouble, Jimmy is given a trophy made by Superman for a job well done.

Synopsis for "The Merman of Metropolis"
Clark Kent has decided to write down his secret identity in a letter that he intends to put in a time capsule and uses special ink that won't wash away easily. This ends up causing him some trouble when Jimmy unknowingly presses his hand down on the still wet ink and gets an imprint of the message on his hand. As Superman, Clark states an elaborate hoax wherein Jimmy is visited by a mermaid and given a ring that gives him the ability to breath underwater.
This distracts Jimmy from the marking on his hand, and also has him constantly under water allowing for the ink to be saturated in water long enough that it washes away. Superman facilitates this by secretly using his super-powers to bring oxygen to Jimmy while he's under water, and the mermaid he used was really a marionette that he controlled from the surface. Jimmy has many underwater adventures that eventually the mark washes off, Superman eventually tells Jimmy of the hoax, and that if he didn't convince Jimmy that he was a merman it would reveal Superman's secret identity, however Superman doesn't explain how.
