Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #25 is an issue of the series Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen (Volume 1) with a cover date of December, 1957.
Synopsis for "The Secret of the Superman Dummies"
When Jimmy goes to see the stage magician Whizzo, he volunteers to be handcuffed to another man with magic handcuff that will only release when someone says the right magic word. Unknown to Jimmy, he is handcuffed to a criminal who hopes that being handcuffed to Jimmy will allow him to kill Superman with a chunk of Kryptonite.
Superman gets wise to this plot, and whenever Jimmy uses his signal watch to call Superman to the scene of various emergencies, he pulls in a replica of himself that can solve the problem, such as a Superman balloon to blow out a fire, a replica Superman statue that has x-ray vision and so on. When Jimmy learns of the crooks intentions, Jimmy refuses to help doom his best friend. When the crook tries to force Jimmy to call Superman at gun point, the crook says Superman's name aloud, which turns out to be the magic word that unlocks the handcuffs. Quick thinking Jimmy builds up a static electricity charge and shocks the crook, allowing him to grab and the Kryptonite and toss it away. Superman then quickly captures the crook.

Synopsis for "The Second Superboy"
Professor Potter visits Jimmy at the Daily Planet and gets the lad to come see the new space rocket that he had built. At his lab, Potter asks Jimmy to pilot the rocket to a planet that he found called Dorth, which has a lesser gravity than even that of Earth and may grant humans super-powers just like Superman. Jimmy agrees to go to Dorth and Potter sets the rocket to take him back home after three days.
Arriving on Dorth, Jimmy is surprised to find that Potters theory is true and that he does have super-powers. Trying to introduce himself to a robot police officer Jimmy finds himself arrested and locked in a jail. Using his super-powers to escape, he's taken in by a man named Kreeze who decides to protect his identity as "Super Youth" giving him a disguise that resembles that of Superboy as the humanoids in this planet wear caped costumes.
Kreeze is really a criminal who convinces Jimmy that Dorth is controlled by an evil dictator and tricks him into stealing salt (that worlds currency), however Jimmy soon learns the truth and brings Kreeze to justice. Hailed as a hero on Dorth, Jimmy leaves after his three day visit however his rocket runs out of fuel on the way home prompting him to call Superman to come to his rescue.

Synopsis for "The Day There Was No Jimmy Olsen"
Coming back from vacation Jimmy is shocked to find that nobody at the Daily Planet knows who he is, and in his place is another boy named Terry Atkins. Thinking that this is a terrible practical joke, Jimmy checks the Daily Planets archives and finds that all of the stories he ever wrote are now in the name of Atkins. Going back to his apartment, he finds that somebody else is living in it and it appears as if he never lived there before.
Going to meet Superman at a circus in hopes that the Man of Steel can help him out, but Superman apparently doesn't know him either. This all turns out to be a hoax being pulled by the Daily Bugle staff to see if Jimmy has what it takes for a foreign correspondence for the Daily Planet. When Jimmy realizes that proof of his identity would be in his wallet, Clark (spotting Jimmy reaching for his wallet) replaces it with a fake which names Jimmy as "Henry Colby.
Jimmy realizes that the hoax, and forces Superman's hand by confronting and taunting the Scarface Gang, a group of crooks he helped put in jail. When they recognize him as Jimmy Olsen, Superman has to go and save Jimmy's life. Later when explaining to Perry, Superman and Lois how he found out they were faking him out, Jimmy explains that if they really believed that Jimmy Olsen never existed Perry would not have responded when Jimmy called him "Chief". With his test a success, Perry sends Jimmy off on the foreign correspondence mission in France.
