"The Boy in the Bottle!": Jimmy Olsen exchanges places with Kandorian, Van Zee, while he helps Superman with an experiment. Jimmy meets Van Zee's family and explores Kandor, but when the exchange ray breaks, Jimmy cannot be restored to normal.

Synopsis for "The Boy in the Bottle!"

Jimmy Olsen exchanges places with Kandorian, Van Zee, while he helps Superman with an experiment. Jimmy meets Van Zee's family and explores Kandor, but when the exchange ray breaks, Jimmy cannot be restored to normal. While in Kandor, Jimmy observes Lucy Lane with several other men and is painfully reminded that he is now seperated from her. A Kandorian scientist removes Jimmy's memories of her, so that he is not haunted by them. Superman eventually fixes the exchange ray and Jimmy returns to normal size. Lucy is intrigued by Jimmy's newfound indifference to her, but when Superman restores his memory he returns to his old ways which bores Lucy.

Synopsis for "The Giant Turtle Man!"

Jimmy discovers a strange chest on the beach which contains an enlarging ray. He accidently hits a turtle with the ray and with the turtle acting as a filter, the ray strikes Jimmy as well. He is transformed into a giant turtle man and falls under the influence of Goxo, an Atlantean criminal who invented the growth ray. Jimmy becomes a menace to the sea lanes, breaking bridges and destroying ships. He then stuffs the broken objects into an active volcano. Superman is able to stop him and uses Brainiac's shrink ray to restore Jimmy to normal, while Lori Lemaris informs them of Goxo's involvement.

Synopsis for "The Black Magician"

Mr. Mxyzptlk returns to continue his infatuation with Lucy Lane. He sends Jimmy back to King Arthur's time in order to have Lucy to himself. Jimmy is feared to be an evil wizard by King Arthur, and Merlin, Arthur's jester, uses his magic to prove Jimmy is a wizard. Jimmy tricks Merlin into saying his name backwards revealing that Merlin is a 5th dimensional imp like Mxyzptlk. Mxyzptlk's magic then wears off, returning Jimmy to the present. He then tricks the imp into saying his name backwards as well, which sends him home.
