Synopsis for "The Kid Who Replaced Jimmy Olsen!"

When Jimmy Olsen gets his own TV show he becomes conceited. Jimmy tries to prove that he can handle himself without Superman's help. Jimmy tries three daredevil stunts, but Superman is forced to save him each time. Jimmy breaks off their friendship in anger. By doing so the network cancels Jimmy's show, and his attitude causes Perry White to fire him. Meanwhile Superman replaces Jimmy with a boy named Josh Oberlin. Desperate for money Jimmy offers to sell his collection of Superman trophies to a crook known as the Collector. The crook plans to use the trophies for crime. One of the trophies, a sensor-jewel, allows Superman to overhear the Collector's plans and learn the location of his secret vault. With evidence in hand, Superman is then able to arrest the Collector.

Superman and Jimmy then reveal that their feud was staged in order to apprehend the Collector. Jimmy gets his job back at the Daily Planet, and Superman agrees to make Josh his substitute pal.
