Escape from Bizarro World is a 2007 storyline in Action Comics (Volume 1) by Richard Donner and Geoff Johns. Chronologically, it takes place after the "Superman: Last Son" storyline, which began previously in the series, but was not concluded at the time of its initial publication. The conclusion to "Last Son" was published after "Escape from Bizarro World" was completed.

Synopsis

A few months after the One Year Later event, Bizarro III found himself the subject of experimentation at the hands of Lex Luthor. Emerging from the process, Bizarro found his normally amicable personality altered, replaced with a more confused and haunted demeanor. Venturing out on his own, he attempted to "make pretty things fly" by pushing a young girl from a high-rise balcony. This brought him into conflict with his human counterpart Superman. Seeing Superman save the young girl, Bizarro realized that he was truly different from the rest of humanity and exiled himself into outer space.

He flew to a star system revolving around a blue sun and began to make a new for himself. Gathering several large meteors, he fused them together, creating a giant planetoid. He then shaped the planetoid into the form of a cube and dubbed it Bizarro World. The ultraviolet radiation from Bizarro World's blue sun altered Bizarro's powers, granting him the ability to replicate lifeforms similar to himself from his own biological matter. With this new power, he populated Bizarro World with "Bizarro" versions of people close to Superman, including Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and Perry White. He even created duploids of Supermans' most notable adversaries such as Lex Luthor, Mister Mxyzptlk, the Toyman and even Doomsday. Bizarro continued to emulate Superman by disguising himself as Clark Kent and working as a reporter at the Dayli Planit.

Some three months later however, the citizens of Bizarro World learned of Bizarro Clark's true identity and rebelled against him. Confused, Bizarro returned to Earth to seek guidance from Superman's adoptive father Jonathan Kent. He broke into the Kent home, abducted Jonathan and brought him back to the Bizarro World where he encased him inside of a crystal chamber at the Fourtriss uv Bizarro. Superman soon learned of the kidnapping and traced Bizarro's path back to Bizarro World. When he arrived, he found his father and discovered that Bizarro was now planning on destroying the world he had created. The other denizens of Bizarro World learned of this and openly rebelled against him. Bizarro III was not alone in his conflict however. He found help in the form of a Bizarro version of the Justice League of America.
