Superman: Man of Tomorrow #12 is a chapter in the digital-first series Superman: Man of Tomorrow (Volume 1 (Digital)) with a cover date of July, 2020.

Synopsis for "Superman's Day Off"

Perry asks Lois if she's sure about printing the story regarding Superman taking a day off and she states yes, stating he wants her to bring the news and he has it. Perry however feels that it might encourage the criminals, but Lois states that Superman believes it'll also encourage people to step up and help each other. He then asks Olsen if he thinks the story should be published, but decides to include it in the newspaper anyway, stating a risk can be rewarding.

The Titan Atlas meanwhile asks Superman if he's really ready to take his burden and he responds positively. He tells the superhero that he's been made to keep the heavens afloat as a punishment by Zeus, after the Titans lost the war against the Olympians and it weighs more than he can lift, advising him to take the burden with all his heart rather than with his strength. As he feels the weight too heavy to bear, Superman asks Atlas when he will return, but finds that the Titan has vanished.

Lois meanwhile knows Clark is still helping someone and states she believes in him. Jimmy asks what she's talking about and gets told to be ready to take photos, as they have a busy day ahead of them. As Clark struggles to keep the heavens afloat, some of the citizens and other superheroes step up to help Metropolis. Perry later asks Lois why are others helping the city, and gets told that people Superman helped in past are returning the favor. He asks if she knows when he'll return, but she gets saddened since she doesn't know.

Atlas later returns and tells Clark that one has to sacrifice everything to lift the heavens for eternity. But he allowed him to attend his daughter Calypso's wedding, which annoyed Zeus since he believed no one will take his place in lifting the heavens and has given him moments of joy he'll never forget. After he relieves him, he states that he wouldn't want to transfer his burden on anyone, but it's good to know others will help. Meanwhile at a base outside Metropolis, John Corbin expresses his frustration at not being allowed to stop crime. General Lane tells him that he's only been resurrected for stopping Superman if he does something wrong, nothing else.

A child later looks at the day's Daily Planet edition talking about Metropolis' citizens stepping up to hemp and wishes he could be a hero too. Clark then buys a copy for him and tells him to believe he can be, before revealing to him that he is Superman.
