Synopsis for "Finish Line!"
Watching as the automaton versions of Kenny Braverman's father continue to cheer his son on at the recreation of the Smallville High School football field, even as Kenny's body lies lifeless on the field, Superman finally explodes in anger, destroying the football field and discovering the hidden underground base of Conduit's organization Pipeline, where he fights his way into the command-and-control center. There he discovers Kenny's manifesto of why he hated Superman, but as he reads further into the manifesto, it is automatically erased -- as is all articles in the Daily Planet computers related to Superman due to an implanted virus by Shadowdragon. Nevertheless, having what he needed to know, Superman takes Kenny's body back to Smallville for his father to bury, only to find that Kenny's father still finds his son to be a loser even in his death. Superman tells Mr. Braverman that winners and losers are made by the people around them, that he is just as much to blame for how Kenny turned out as anyone. He later reunites with his parents who are hiding out, letting them know that the threat of Conduit is over.
