Superman: The Man of Steel #49 is an issue of the series Superman: The Man of Steel (Volume 1) with a cover date of October, 1995.
Synopsis for "Flight!"
Superman is disturbed by visions of a dying Krypton. Meanwhile, Perry and Alice's adopted son, Keith, joins his friends in following a young girl named Darlena, who has been physically transformed by Skyhook. Lois believes that an exclusive interview with the Alpha Centurion is what the Daily Planet needs since he is the top story right now. He meets with Lois on top of the planet and warns that Superman will not like it, but she states that it is her job. He then takes her with her so that she can cover her adventures. Keith leaves a trail in case they fall into a trap. The Man of Steel hears that Keith is missing, and tracks them into Skyhook's lair in the sewers. Although he rescues the children, a fireball prevents him from capturing the villain once more. Lois is able to cover the Centurion's adventures for a day, but is astonished to find that Jimmy Olsen has beaten her to the headline-making.
