Synopsis for "World of New Krypton (Part I)"

Superman returns to New Krypton and meets with his aunt, Alura. He tells her that he wants to stay on their new world and re-assimilate himself into Kryptonian culture. Superman realizes that in order to do so, he must relinquish all ties to the planet Earth. Alura tells him that he must select one of the established guilds of New Krypton to work with. She assigns him a guide named Tyr-Van to show him around the planet.

Superman and Tyr-Van explore the capitol city, though it is apparent that the young labor guild member has yet to get the hang of flying. Superman gives him a few tips and even introduces him to the phrase "Up, up and away".

After the tour, Superman sets upon the real reason he has returned to New Krypton - General Zod. He flies to the barracks of the Military Guild, but the Kryptonians of the Military Guild are not particularly happy to see him. Non lumbers forward and instigates a fight with Superman. The two trade blows, but Superman quickly puts him down. General Zod finally appears and calms everyone down. He insists that he does not wish to enter into any further conflict with Superman. Superman is still irritated that the people of New Krypton regard Zod as a hero. He asks him about Chris Kent. Zod reminds him that Chris' real name is Lor-Zod and that his son is none of Superman's business.

More words are exchanged, but ultimately Superman decides upon which guild he will serve in. He joins the military guild under General Zod.
