Superman Adventures #28 is an issue of the series Superman Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1999.

Synopsis for "Jimmy Olsen vs. Darkseid"

Superman bursts through a wall and rescues Lois and Jimmy from Intergang. However, it turns out to be a trap by Kalibak, who plans to use a Mind-Trader device to swap his mind with Superman's, thus bypassing the treaty between Apokolips and New Genesis. At the last moment, Jimmy jumps at the Mind-Trader, swapping his mind with Superman's. As the SCU arrives, Kalibak retreats to Apokolips through a Boom Tube, taking Superman (in Jimmy's body) with him.

Upon his return, Darkseid punishes Kalibak, who takes his anger out on Desaad.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Jimmy is adjusting to Superman's powers when he hears a crime taking place. He rushes to stop it, but forgets that he is invulnerable to bullets.

Soon after, Kalibak arrives again, but Jimmy punches him back to Apokolips. There, Superman is being tortured, but is able to activate Jimmy Olsen's Signal Watch, summoning Jimmy, who uses the Mind-Trader to switch their bodies. Just then, a hologram of Darkseid announces that they can leave, as he will decide when the ultimate battle takes place.

Superman and his pal return to Earth, but not before Jimmy takes a photo of Darkseid, which is then printed on the front page of the Daily Planet. Lois gets upset at Jimmy for being bribed by Clark to give him the byline, to which Jimmy responds, "Would you believe I wasn't myself at the time?"
