Superman Family #201 is an issue of the series Superman Family (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 1980.

Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Face on Cloud 9"

Supergirl has become infatuated with `Peter Barton and thinks of him constantly. After her distraction almost causes a airplane to crash, Kara tries to focus on heading towards New Athens Experimental School where her friend Valerie Myles has invited an hypnosis expert to make a demonstration in her Parapsychology class. In the meantime, Peter and his belief that his ex-girlfriend Valerie is Supergirl are getting the latter annoyed. After an argument, Peter thinks that getting back together would be easier if Valerie wasn't Supergirl.

Meanwhile, Supergirl has made it to the classroom where she is asked to demonstrate her super-hypnosis on a volunteer. Unfortunately, Supergirl is thinking still about Peter and she accidentally looks at Peter with her super-vision as pondering he might be into her if he was more dynamic.

Kara decides to leave to find some way to get her mind off Peter when she finds a costumed man wandering through Santa Augusta. The super-strong stranger is hostile, though, and he brings a skyscraper in construction down on her. After believing that he, Dynamic, has gotten rid of Supergirl, he walks off.

Seconds later, Supergirl digs her way out of the rubble, spots Dynamic, and discovers he is Peter. As spying on him, Kara deduces she hypnotized him into being more dynamic by accident, and because he wants to Supergirl out of the way between Valerie and himself, Peter's mind created his "Dynamic" person to eliminate her, borrowing a play costume. Supergirl wonders how she can snap Peter out of his trance without risking letting him see her and triggering another confrontation again.
