Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Spoil Sport of New York"

Sports newscaster Fred Fox is mad because Supergirl disrupted his latest attempt to make people hate sporting events, but he trusts his device will take care of Supergirl the next time.

In the meantime, co-worker Greg Gilbert takes Linda Danvers to a boxing match. Unexpectedly, both boxers refuse to fight, opting for going out to have a cup of coffee instead, and the spectators riot. Supergirl stops the riot, but she can detect a strange radiation. Unfortunately it disappears before she can trace it back to its source. Kara flies off as Fred Fox tries to blame the riot on her.

The next day, Greg wants to take Linda to a tennis match after work, but Linda doesn't want to. Later she checks on Greg and notices both players and referee are behaving strangely, too. Supergirl takes off for the tennis stadium. This time she traces the radiation affecting the players back to the booth held by Fred Fox. Supergirl confronts him, but he uses another device to make her lose her coordination and sink into the ground. Fred gloats that nobody can stop him now from ruin every sport in America. Then Supergirl barges in his booth and reveals his discoordinator was useless and she tricked him into confessing on live TV.

After taking him away, Linda is lounging in her apartment when Greg knocks all of sudden, bringing food nobody asked for. Linda groans inwardly when he tells they have to get Supergirl to do a cameo on "Secret Hearts".
