Synopsis for "When Lois First Suspected Clark Was Superman!"

This is the story of how Lois Lane first began to suspect that Clark Kent was really Superman. One day at the Daily Planet she happens to spot a robbery going outside. When Clark says he's sick and steps out of the office, Lois begins to realize that whenever there's trouble, Clark disappears and Superman arrives shortly after. This makes her suspicious of Clark really being Superman, but she isn't full convinced, thinking Clark is too meek to be the Man of Steel.

Later, when she notices Superman grab a freshly painted flag pole when landing on the Daily Planet building, she goes inside and checks all the male employees hands for paint. Even though Clark uses his x-ray vision to burn the paint off, he's almost insulted when she overlooks him. Later still at a company function at the beach, Lois begins checking every man's belongings for a Superman costume and checking the men's physiques to learn who Superman is. Clark buries himself in sand and constructs fake flabby arms to throw her off, but she doesn't pay him any notice.

The next day, she decides to test once and for all that Clark is really Superman by entering the same room with a chunk of Kryptonite. In order to conceal it, she puts it in a lead pipe, after a conversation with Clark yields no adverse effects, she reveals the whole stunt to him, pulling out the Kryptonite. Clark manages to maintain his composure until Lois leaves the room, tossing the pipe behind. When she reads later that lead can block Kryptonite radiation, she goes back to check the pipe to see what it was made of, however Clark has cleverly switched it with an aluminum pipe.

His final attempt to throw Lois off is to maker her believe that he has his foot caught on the pedal for the drink fountain and needs her assistance to pull free. This convinces Lois that Clark cannot possibly be Superman, her suspicions allayed, For now.....

Synopsis for "The Trio of Steel!"

Superman has suddenly become a super-menace, in the same day he has used his x-ray vision to evaporate the water in a lake children are swimming in, messing up a television reception, humiliates Perry White at a dinner party, and takes Lois to Niagara Falls where he leads Lois on to the possibility of a proposal but ultimately "falls in love" with an ugly girl before laughing in Lois's face and leaving her there.

Superman meets up with Mr. Mxyzptlk, who has returned from the 5th Dimension to use his magic on Superman and make his life a nuisance, and used his powers to manipulate the Man of Steel. Mxyzptlk tells Superman he will leave him alone if the Man of Steel gives him a Superman robot to take back with him to the 5th Dimension to give to his girlfriend as a gift. Wanting nothing more but to be rid of Mr. Mxyzptlk Superman flies off to his Fortress of Solitude. Instead of one Superman robot coming later, three do, each a different incarnation of Kal-El: Superman, Superboy, and Superbaby.

The three troublesome robots initially don't want to go, however each one changes their mind and competes over which one will go to the 5th Dimension with Mxyzptlk. However, when the Superbaby robot begins to cry, Superman makes giant alphabet blocks out of stone. When Superbaby spells out the word Kltpzyxm, he begins reading out the wrong letter, the irritable Mr. Mxyzptlk corrects him, accidentally spelling his name backwards and being shunted back to the 5th Dimension.

Later, Clark Kent returns to the Daily Planet to relate the story to Lois.
