Synopsis for "Before This Night is Over, Superman Will Kill!"
Jamie Lombard collapses suddenly from "journalist's disease". Superman is about to destroy Jevik, which is in its non-living phase. Amalak, by remote control, causes Jevik to shift into living phase, and Superman stops just before he would have killed it. After a short battle, he subdues Jevik.
