Synopsis for "The Master Mesmerizer of Metropolis!"

Superman super-hypnotizes all of Metropolis to keep its citizens from falling under the control of the Spellbinder.

Notes

  • First .40 cent and 32 page issue.
  • "Based on a story-concept by Al Schroeder III"
  • This story reveals the reason why people don't make the connection between Superman and Clark Kent, despite their identical appearance, is that Clark subconsciously hypnotizes them into perceiving him as a distinct person from Superman (with his glasses, if he's trying to look like a small weak guy, then he will look like a small weak guy to anyone not immune to his hypnosis).
  • The Crisis on Infinite Earths: Absolute Edition lists this story as an appearance of Earth-Thirty-Two.
  • Because the differences between Earth-One and Earth-Thirty-Two characters are so minor the DC Comics Database has decided to use the Earth-One's version for the details that are identical.

Trivia

  • No trivia.
