The Daily Planet is sold to a new owner, John Wilton, who already owns three papers in Metropolis. A few days later, he decides to close it down. Superman suggests the staff get temporary jobs whilst they publish a rival newspaper. They are so successful that Wilson tricks them into accusing him of arson while he has witnesses that he was at home at the time, but Superman reveals that Wilson employed an actor to impersonate him and forces him to sell the Planet back.
