Synopsis for "Super Sons of Tomorrow, Part 1: Dark of the Son"
Bruce Wayne is calmly reading a book within the library of Wayne Manor, until all of a sudden, a mysterious figure crashes through a window and attacks him. It is an adult Tim Drake, who has become the Batman of an alternate timeline. He wants to save the timeline from some kind of danger but needs Bruce's resources to do it, but Bruce, aware that Tim's plan involves killing innocent people, cannot let Tim go unopposed. Their brawl spans all over the Manor, with both fighters throwing punches and various objects at each other. Bruce drops a chandelier on top of Tim, temporarily immobilizing him, but Tim draws his gun and shoots his former mentor. The gunshot does not kill Bruce, however, as Tim needs him to enter the Batcave. Once there, Tim finds a chamber with boxes that contain weapons tailored to the weaknesses of Bruce's fellow superheroes.
Meanwhile, at the Arctic, Superman has dedicated himself to repairing the Fortress of Solitude after his confrontation with Mr. Oz. While fixing the statues of his deceased parents, Superman gets a warning from Kelex that an intruder is approaching the Fortress. Tim has arrived. Superman, aware that the Batman he knows would never use guns, concludes that the intruder is Tim Drake from another timeline. Tim says that he is on a mission, one that Superman cannot interfere with. Even so, Tim cannot risk killing Superman, as the Man of Steel's presence in this timeline keeps it safe. He only came to the Fortress to prevent Superman from interfering in his task.
Tim uses a smoke cloud to disorient Superman and activate a Kryptonian battle armor in order to even the odds. Despite some initial trouble, Superman neutralizes the armor and throws Tim into the snow outside the Fortress. Unfortunately, Superman springs Tim's final trap, a special cage made of Red Kryptonite, which slowly drains Superman's powers. Tim says that Superman cannot interfere in his mission: to save the timeline, he must kill Superboy.
