Synopsis for "The Unity Saga: The House of El, Part 4"
Superman and Lois were horrified to learn of the circumstances Superboy had endured in his journey.
Superboy attempted to escape from the furious attacks of Superwoman. Despite the threat Superwoman represented, Superboy could not bring himself to fight a woman that so closely resembled his mother. Luckily, he would not have to, as Jor-El quickly arrived and kept Superwoman distracted with his weapons. A few seconds later, Jor-El activated a teleportation device that brought him and Superboy to their spaceship.
Once onboard, Jor-El ran a quick scan on Superboy's body to make sure he was contaminated by some foreign substance in the time they were apart. He anxiously asked Jon why did he run away, but Jon replies that he didn't mean to, the black hole separated them. Jor-El tells Jon he had been searching for him for years, and to find Jon, Jor-El had to do many things he was not proud of. He then goes on to explain that the black hole they fell into was distorting time, caused by some event at the Source Wall. As he gives Jon a new suit, Jor-El explains their experiences in space have altered their perception of time. To Jon, it has been 7 years; for the people of Earth, it's only been 3 weeks.
Astonished, Jon says he needs to return home and Jor-El understands. Suddenly, their ship is attacked by an unseen forces that pierces the hull. Rogol Zaar leads the attack, alongside General Zod and Jax-Ur. Before Rogol can get close to Jon, Jor-El uses a mysterious device that envelops Jon in yellow light and throws him back to Earth. Finding himself on Wisconsin, Jon flies home.
The tale ends and Superman decides to confront his father for everything that's happened. He offers Jon the chance to join him, but he understands if Jon wants to stay on Earth with his mother. Jon agrees to join Superman, while Lois says she will handle Leviathan. Superman and Lois comfort each other, promising that whatever challenges might come next, they will face them together. Suddenly, a yellow light begins shining on Superboy's suit and envelops Superman, as well. The light takes Superman and Superboy out of Earth and into deep space. As the light disappears, Superman and Superboy watch as Jor-El's ship fights in a huge battle.
