Synopsis for "Superman's Truth: Parth Three"

The Daily Star staff discusses the ramifications and consequences of Superman revealing his secret identity to the entire world. One of their reporters, George, is is upset by this reveal, thinking that Clark used his superpowers to write stories about himself, essentially cheating throughout his career.

Meanwhile, in deep space, Mongul continues his battle against the United Planets, with Superman caught in the middle. Superman deduces that Mongul wants to destroy the United Planets because he doesn't believe in the unity they trying to establish and conquest is the only language Mongul understands. Myand'r of Thanagar orders the United Planets to withdraw from the battle, thinking that Mongul is attacking them because of Superman. The other galactic leaders ask him to keep fighting and the Dominators fire all their weapons on Mongul. Unfortunately, Mongul is unharmed and slaughters an huge portion of the Dominator forces.

Back on the Daily Star, the discussion about Superman. George says that journalism should be a level playing field and that Superman shouldn't be able to do the same job as other reporters do and do things other reporters can't, but the Daily Star's managing editor says that, even within the field of journalism, people do things other people can't. The Daily Star crew talks about what to do now and the managing editor says they should talk to people who've been inspired by Superman and ask them how they feel about his decision to reveal his secret identity to the entire world.

George believes that by hiding his secret identity, Superman did something unethical, but his fellow reporter, Bethany Snow, talks about the time she watched Superman stop a plane from hitting Metropolis. Clark could have filed the story, but he chose not to, and Bethany and some other reporter from the free newspaper got the story instead. Now that the truth about Superman has come out, she is shocked that learn that Clark was the man who has been saving Metropolis over and over again.

As the discussion continues, George goes to his computer and receives an e-mail from an unidentified sender. The e-mail contains footage of Unity Day and the Daily Star reporters watch the founding of the United Planets and Superman's decision to represent Earth. Bethany asks George about the sender but George cannot identify them and the message itself doesn't seem to have come from the Internet. Lana Lang, who's been working for the Daily Star for some time now, decides to talk to Clark about this.

The space battle continues and the terrified galactic leaders accuse Superman of making the United Planet a target for Mongul. Even so, Superman does his best to contain Mongul and give the United Planets enough to regroup and fight back.

Later, in Chicago, Lois takes a break from working on her book and attempts go out and buy dinner, but as soon as she steps out of her hotel room, she comes across Bethany and her cameraman. Bethany asks the confused Lois about Superman's decision to be king of the Earth and whether or not this motivated him to reveal his secret identity.
