Synopsis for "Superman's Truth: Finale"
Superman confronts Mongul once again, as the Warworld reaches Earth's orbit. Angry that Mongul is attacking Earth just to spite him, Superman decides to stop holding back and fight Mongul with everything he's got.
In Metropolis, Lois brings FBI agent Cameron Chase to the Kent apartment, where Cameron asks about Superman's whereabouts and Lois replies that, considering that this is Superman they're talking about, he must be on some world-saving mission.
Superman realizes Mongul is distracting him from the Warworld, so he flies through the Warworld's inner systems and reaches its power core, enduring attacks from the Warworld's defense weapons along the way. Using all his strength, Superman pushes the Warworld out of Earth's orbit and unleashes his heat vision on the power core, destroying the Warworld in a massive explosion.
Back in Metropolis, Cameron informs Lois about the situation Superman finds himself in: the United Nations aren't happy that Superman just declared himself representative of Earth to the rest of the universe, especially after he revealed his secret identity to the entire world. That said, the UN also knows that if it wasn't for Superman, the UN and the Earth itself would be long gone by now, which is why the UN has given Superman retroactive authority to represent Earth in the intergalactic stage. Still, the UN won't tolerate any mistakes from Superman, his family or his acquaintances. From now on, the UN will keep a close watch on Superman and everyone even remotely associated with him, including Lois, and any sort of mistake will be cause for massive scrutiny.
Meanwhile, the destruction of the Warworld throws Superman and Mongul into the surface of Venus. Both combatants are tired and pushed to their limits, but Superman finally incapacitates Mongul. Superman brings back the defeated Mongul back to his homeworld, knowing that the Warzoons, Mongul's people, are obsessed with conquest and don't react well to weakness. Later, he addresses a group of United Planets representatives in the planet they were trying to colonize before Mongul attacked them and reaffirms the validity and necessity of the United Planets. Now and more than ever, unity is necessary.
With Mongul defeated and the United Planets at peace, Clark returns to his apartment and finds Lois asleep on her desk. He also finds Cameron's card next to a sleeping Lois, who suddenly awakens and informs Clark that she just finished her book. Clark looks forward to reading it but Lois asks him not to, because it took her a long time to finish the book and he could just finish reading it in a few seconds thanks to his super-speed. She asks him not to read until humans have read it and he reluctantly agrees. Lois also tells Clark that she knows about his business with the United Planets. Clark realizes he forgot to tell her about the United Planets, but Lois says she already took care of that. Also, the FBI has a message for him but she has forgotten about it. Clark and Lois decide that whatever challenges might be next, they can face them together, but for now, they just want a good night's sleep.
