Synopsis for "Mythological, Part Three"

The battle between Superman and Eisno Alkor continues. As Superman defends himself, he continues to attempt to reason with Eisno, believing this whole situation to be a misunderstanding. Suddenly, Xa-Du, who has been watching the battle ever since Superman and Eisno entered the Phantom Zone, approaches Eisno, believing he can gain a new ally in his vendetta against the House of El, but Eisno attacks him, as well. Eisno rushes towards Superman, and the battle starts yet again.

Meanwhile, in Metropolis, Lana Lang visits Lois at the Kent apartment. Lois, aware that Lana interviewed Clark for an assignment at the Daily Star asks if Clark is okay, to which Lana replies that she doesn't know. Lana understands that Clark is the most unique man on the planet and that Lana and Lois met him at different times in his very strange life and Lois gives her a copy of her newest book, a book no one has read yet, not even Clark. If Lois and Lana are going to have an honest conversation, then the time has come for Lana to read it.

Back in the Phantom Zone, Superman evades Eisno's attacks and continues to attempt communication with the alien warrior. He speaks slowly and mentions the word "Superman", to which Eisno replies with "Synmar." Superman is intrigued by Eisno's answer, believing Synmar to be either the alien's name, homeworld or what the alien understands as "Superman." Before the conversation can go any further, however, Eisno resumes his attack, forcing Superman to contact Kelex, asking him to call for the other members of the Justice League. Unfortunately, the Justice League is unavailable, and Superman asks Kelex if he can search his databases for anything regarding the alien. Kelex finds nothing about Eisno, believing him to have originated from a part of the galaxy not mapped by the United Planets. This leads Superman to the conclusion that he must travel to the alien's homeworld to truly understand him. He asks Kelex to open a Phantom Zone portal as far away from Earth as possible and Kelex complies.

As the portal opens, Superman asks Synmar to follow him. Xa-Du attempts to fly through the portal, but Superman grabs him and throws him back into the Phantom Zone. The portal closes and Superman and Eisno are left hovering alone in space. Superman asks Eisno to take him to his homeworld and hopefully, they will find a way to solve his problems. Kelex warns Superman that if he follows Eisno, Superman will be led into a completely unknown part of the galaxy, possibly with no way back home. Superman chooses to follow Eisno anyway.

Unfortunately, Kelex's warnings prove to be correct as Superman is taken to a star system with an orange sun, which has strange effects on Superman's powers. Eisno talks to Superman, revealing that under Synmar's orange sun, he can understand Superman perfectly. Aware of the effects the orange sun has on Superman, Eisno declares the battle to be over and accepts Superman's surrender. Superman has no idea of what Eisno is talking about, but Eisno merely returns to his homeworld, where the Synmar collective will watch Superman's final punishment.
