Synopsis for "House of Brainiac, Part 2: Last Sons"

Lobo escapes Graft and Pharm's lab, but finds that he is stranded on Earth due to the Green Lantern Corps enforcing a United Planets quarantine on the planet. He goes to Warrior's in search of a drink and is quickly confronted by Superman. Lobo attacks Superman, looking for a fight after being out of action for a while, and to his surprise and glee the Man of Steel is unusually aggressive; blasting Lobo in the face with his heat vision and smashing his head into the floor. Superman angrily demands to know where Brainiac is, but Lobo has no idea what he's talking about.

Meanwhile on the Skull Ship, Brainiac conducts painful experiments on Livewire and Parasite. Supergirl, powerless and miniaturised in a bottle, yells at him to stop and asks why he isn't following his usual pattern. Brainiac claims to have learned all the knowledge in the Multiverse, and now must create something new. Suddenly he spasms and electricity sparks off him, then he collapses and vomits up a green liquid. Four of his alternate selves carry him away to recover.

Back on Earth, Superman shows Lobo a recording of the attack. Lobo confirms that they are real Czarnians and recognises General Chacal as a legendary figure who he modelled himself on. According to the stories Chacal and his army, known as "Bad Blood", took over a whole city in Czarnia's distant past, but they and it suddenly disappeared. Lobo agrees to help Superman track them, but points out they still can't get through the blockade. Two Supercorp scientists suggest that a small spacecraft with cloaking technology may be able to get through, and reveal that they have already built such a craft: Superman's own spacehog.

The two of them jet into space and successfully breach the quarantine line without setting off alarms. As they ride out, Lobo tells Superman that he seems uncharacteristically angry, and that he needs to express his rage or it will blow up out of control. He also points out that when they first met they were the last sons of their worlds, but now they both have families carrying on that legacy. Superman asks him how he feels about that, but before he can answer they are attacked by Chacal and his army. Lobo is briefly starstruck at meeting his idol, but then happily charges into battle against them.

On the ship, Brainiac emerges from his recovery tank and speaks with Luthor, who he has returned to normal size. Luthor admits that he was scared by an idea he saw in Brainiac's head, but he also knows what is wrong with Brainiac. He offers to help him in his current project and deliver Superman to him if he lets Lena go.

Meanwhile Supergirl and Superboy attempt to break out of their bottles. Conner attempts to use his tactile telekinesis, remembering how the Chained said he had not reached his full potential. However, Supergirl says she has a better idea and hacks into a piece of a Brainiac drone that she was able to hold onto. She successfully frees them from the bottles, but they remain powerless and shrunken down to doll size.
