Synopsis for "Superman Red, Part One"

Lex Luthor has once again been imprisoned in Stryker's Island. Despite him asking her to stay away, Lena comes to confront him. He insists that he had no idea what Mercy was planning and swears he would never hurt her, but she angrily yells back at him that he sold her to Brainiac and then sent her away to Leticia when he got her back. Lex claims he was trying to protect her, but she angrily replies that he was protecting himself like he always does. She starts crying as she tells him that he only cares about himself and she had hoped for the past few weeks that they could be happy together but he ruined it. She storms out, implying that she will never come back.

On the Watchtower, the Atom Project scan Lois Lane and confirm that her powers are gone and her body is no longer absorbing yellow sun radiation to recharge them. Mister Terrific suggests the loss may not be permanent and wants to run more tests but Lois refuses and just walks out of the lab to the transport chamber. Superman chases after her, concerned, but she insists she is fine and that she doesn't need to be Superwoman.

Meanwhile in deep space the Legion of Zod are attacked by Khunds wielding Supercorp manufactured weapons.

At Supercorp, Lena confronts Mercy and demands to know why she's not in prison for unleashing X-El on the city. Mercy reveals that Lex took the blame, claiming that X-E escaped and went rogue. Lena angrily tells Mercy that Lex was getting better and she derailed him but Mercy is unconcerned and even offers Lena a job as her second in command. Superman arrives and Lena storms off, much to Mercy's surprise as she genuinely expected Lena to take the job. Superman tells Mercy she is fired and he is shutting down Supercorp, but she retorts that only Lex can do that and he won't go along with it. Suddenly Mercy gets a call that Lena has stolen a flying motorcycle from the company lockup and disappeared with it. Superman flies away, telling Mercy that she has her answer from Lena. Lena flies the "superbike" to Midvale, Supergirl's hometown.

At the End of Time, the Omega Legion torture the Time Trapper so Saturn Girl can pull the reason why he tried to work with Earth 0's Superman out of his mind.

Superman flies to Stryker's and demands to know if Luthor has any other old plans that could come back to harm him. Lex replied that he doesn't and argues that he should get credit for stopping X-El, but Superman is still furious that Lex killed the clone. Lex then asks Superman to keep letting him help but Superman refuses, saying that Lex will spend the rest of his life in prison and they will never speak again. Lex claims he can restore Lois' powers, and warns Superman that her power loss could hurt their marriage if Lois comes to resent him and be jealous of his powers after having tasted them herself.

At this, Superman flies into a Red Kryptonite induced rage and attacks Luthor. Guards rush in to restrain him and Lex runs to the adjoining cells where Graft and Dr. Pharm are held. He tells them that together they are going to find a cure for Superman's Red Kryptonite infection before he destroys the city. Graft asks why they would help him and Luthor replies that once they cure Superman then he will fight them both to the death. Superman manages to momentarily regain control of himself and calls Mister Terrific for help, but Marilyn Moonlight appears and attacks him, saying that Metropolis needs to be saved from him.
