Synopsis for "Legion of Darkseid, Part Three: The Great Collision"
As Superboy-Prime holds Superman hostage, Saturn Girl speaks to the captured Superman directly and says he is mistaken if he thinks he knows what's coming; her story is different from the Saturn Girl Superman once knew.
She was born in the midst of a war between the planets Braal and Titan. The Braalians could control metal, while the Titanians had telepathic abilities. The Braalians feared the Titans' powers, so they tried to eradicate them. Saturn Girl participated in the war and killed many enemies from Braal, but after the war, instead of being praised, she was imprisoned because the Titanians themselves feared her power. On Titan, everyone could hear each other's thoughts, so voices in people's heads were normal; but Saturn Girl was different. The voice she heard didn't come from Titanians or enemies. Something else spoke only to her. The voice told her secrets about everything. Day by day, the voice grew louder until it became inescapable.
Through the voice's messages, Saturn Girl began to see something extraordinary: visions of a long-lost past, obliterated by countless wars. In those visions, she saw "The Final God", a cosmic entity of immense influence. The voice inspired her to take action against the guards. Imra used her telepathy to attack the guards with their own secrets. One guard had a daughter and feared she would be captured by the Braalians, while the other guard resented his partner. In an instant, they shot each other to death just because Imra manipulated their minds. As Imra escaped, she came across another prisoner wearing an energy-dampening collar. He tried to persuade Imra, saying that if she freed him, they could escape together. Inspired by the voice in her head, Imra agreed to free him.
After her escape, Imra journeyed across the universe and found others like her, people could listen to the same voice in her head. From there, she formed a group called the Legion. They believed in the magnificence of ther god, who would cause "The Great Collision" and destroy all reality.
In the ruined 31st century, Superboy-Prime still holds Superman under capture, but Saturn Girl does not think the Legion can trust people who switch sides so suddenly, and Prime picks up fights with Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad over who gets to kill Superman. The conflict gets broken up by Saturn Girl, who tells Lightning Lad to keep a watch on the captured Booster Gold while she speaks with Prime. Superman takes on as many Legionnaires as he can to cover for Booster's escape, but the Legionnaires restrain the weakened hero. Saturn Girl reminds the Legionnaires of Booster's importance: he has absorbed chronal energy, allowing him to traverse time and dimensions, thus tracking threats to the Legion, but as the same time, Booster is filled to the brim with Omega energy, the energy Darkseid needs to return to power. Without it, Darkseid is incomplete and thus, the Legion will sacrifice Booster. He is the key to Darkseid's return. Superman will also be sacrificed, for he represents the age of heroes and hope, an age that the Legion is desperate to bury.
Meanwhile on Earth, Lex continues to stay under the radar by hiding on a castle in a frozen wasteland. He attempts to meditate, but he is ambushed by Karate Kid. The Omega Legionnaire does not last long against Lex, who twists his enemy's neck and leaves the castle, his time of hiding finally over.
Back in future Metropolis, the Legionnaires bring Superman and Booster Gold to their capture and strap Booster to a machine that will harness the energies in Booster's body and allow Darkseid to traverse time and space, while Superman is forced to watch. Saturn Girl tells Superboy-Prime that if he wants to prove his loyalty to Darkseid, then he must kill Booster. Superman begs Prime not to do it and to instead prove that he can be a hero, and Prime reveals his deception: he never intended to kill Superman. He just wanted the Omega Legion to let its guard down so he could learn their plans. Prime quickly takes out as many Legionnaires as he can and releases Superman from his chains.
Through the powers of Element Lad, the Legion's machine has open a portal to Superman's time and Prime tells Superman and Booster to escape while he holds the Legion off. Thankful that Prime is still on his side, Superman hands his Legion ring to Prime, who admits surprise and says that he has not earned it. Superman invites Prime to come with him, but Prime insists on staying to fight the Legion in the 31st century. The Time Trapper was right on one thing: Prime can do things Superman cannot and right now, Prime has to stay so that Superman can return to his time and warn everyone about the Legion. Prime throws Superman and Booster into the portal, puts on the ring and gathers the last remaining members of the heroic Legions to fight against Darkseid's Legion.
At the Watchtower, the Justice League has survived Gorilla Grodd's attempt to control the timeline and destroy humanity, but now, it faces a bigger challenge: the Time Trapper has arrived to warn the League about a new threat. The Trapper's warning proves valid as Superman arrives to a field in Kansas and, with an injured Booster in his arms, calls the League for help.

Trivia
- Superboy-Prime uses his reality-altering powers to send Superman back into Hypertime. He has previously demonstrated these abilities on multiple occasions, including in Infinite Crisis #1 and Dark Nights: Death Metal The Secret Origin #1.
- Prime double-crossing the Absolute Legion was already foreshadowed by his words from the previous issue.
- Superboy-Prime once again breaks the Fourth Wall and references past events:
- He claims to "have always hated the Legion," which is a reference to the events of Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds;
- Right before faking an attack on Booster Gold, Prime screams "Dan Jurgens is going to be so pissed...". which is a nod to Dan Jurgens being Booster Gold's creator;
- While sending Booster back in time, he asks him to "say bwahahaha to Blue Beetle". This is a nod to Ted Kord's death in Countdown to Infinite Crisis #1, whose events were all planned behind-the-scenes by Prime and Alex Luthor;
- After regrouping with the remaining Legionnaires, Prime refers to them as "Legion Lost", which is obviously a reference to the series of the same name.
