Synopsis for "The Chained Part Two"

Perry White announces his candidacy for Mayor of Metropolis, and his rally is attacked by the Chained, who he recognises as "Sammy Stryker". Sammy demands to know where Lex Luthor is and the Superman Family swoop in to stop him. Superboy manages to get close enough to break one of Stryker's chains, but Stryker binds him in the remaining chains and says that Conner is like him, but hasn't reached his full potential. Meanwhile, at the Chained's cell, Superman is able to break free by vibrating his molecules like a Flash. He flies in and punches Stryker in the face, freeing Conner. Superman once again tells the Chained that he doesn't want to fight and asks him to let them help him; but Stryker assumes that they are working for Luthor because the S-shield is on top of LexCorp Tower and he doesn't know what Kryptonians are, believing Luthor gave them their powers. He once again attacks them and easily fends them off until Supergirl is able to grab one of his chains and use it to throw him in the hopes of creating distance.

Stryker topples over two skyscrapers full of people and Superboy grabs on to both of them at the base, using his tactile telekinesis to hold them in place while Superman and Supergirl evacuate them at super-speed. Superboy and the Chained have a telekinetic contest as the Chained tries to push the buildings down and Conner tries to hold them up. Superboy is able to resist the Chained and force him to actually exert himself for the first time, but his power is too great and Conner is on the verge of collapsing. Fortunately Superman and Supergirl are able to complete the evacuation and Superman pushes Conner to safety, letting the buildings collapse down on him. The Chained flies away and Superboy and Supergirl dig Superman out from under the rubble. Superman says that they need to return him to his cell at least for the time being, as it's the only thing that can stop his telekinesis; however, Superboy tells Superman that he felt a connection to the Chained and that he actually has tactile telekinesis like him. Meanwhile, Dr Pharm and Mr Graft appear in front of the Chained and ask him to join their campaign against Luthor.

At Stryker's Island, Luthor has regained consciousness and tries to leave the prison hospital, saying that Superman needs him. Lois enters and tells Luthor that she doesn't believe he's changed and asks him what his real plan is. Luthor claims that he really does want to help Superman and realises he has been wrong all these years. Suddenly Lex's mother Leticia Luthor walks in, much to Lois' shock as she thought Leticia was dead. She criticises Lex for letting his obsessions consume him like his father did, and tells him that he should have been a musician instead. Leticia tells him that she has come to investigate his decision to hand over control of LexCorp to Superman, and that she has also brought his daughter Lena Luthor, who Lois didn't even know existed. Lena has scars on her forehead resembling the markings on Brainiac's head.

Meanwhile in deep space Brainiac attacks the planet Braal with an army of Czarnians, who brutally murder the inhabitants with their bare hands as the inhabitants could turn any metal weapons against them. While his army slaughter the Braalians, Brainiac contemplates a tank with a silhouetted female figure inside, and claims that he will soon have the power to create life.
