Notes

  • The film took some liberties with the original story, some of which were added to make the film longer.
    • The conflict between Bialya and Pokolistan, and Atomic Skull's inclusion are creatively added to the story.
    • Superman and the Elite initially started off as allies, while they were enemies from the moment they met in the original story.
    • Superman and the Elite took their battle on Earth's moon rather than Io.
    • In the original story, Superman only pretended to cut out the abnormal part of Black's brain with his heat vision, but he does it for real in the film.

Trivia

  • Hat tells Superman his lucky numbers are "4, 8, 15, and..." before being cut off. 4, 8, and 15 are the first numbers in the recurring number sequence (4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42) in the television show LOST.
