The Supermen of America were a team of young metahumans trained by the Department of Defense.

History

When Superman refused to give his total allegiance to the United States of America, Lieutenant Anderson cut the government's ties with him and replaced him with the Supermen of America, outfitting them with uniforms including the Superman Symbol.

Their first major mission to capture Bizarro was a failure, as the creature killed two of them immediately and the third, Tag Harris, escaped only because he was rescued by Superman.
