History
Originally Suzy lived in Valley City, and only got to see Robby when he would visit his cousin. His last visit is also when she first started admiring the superheroes he would transform into, unaware they were all his alter-egos after he used the H-Dial.[2] Eventually, Suzy moved with her parents to Littleville where she became neighbors and classmates with Robby. It was during a field trip that she witnessed yet another of Robby's superheroes, the Yankee Doodle Kid, saving her class from the Cougar Man.[3]
During the Toymaster's crime spree, Suzy witnesses Robby's transformation into Velocity Kid. By blackmailing him with his secret, she gets Robby to let her use the H-Dial to become Gem Girl. Together they defeated Toymaster, but a bump on the head causes Suzy to lose her memories of the event.[4]

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–1986 miniseries Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- In her early appearances, Suzy has red hair, while in later appearances she has brown hair. As Supergirl, she has blond hair.
- Suzy's full name was not revealed until Silver Age Secret Files and Origins #1, her first Post-Crisis appearance.
- Her Supergirl form resembles Kara Zor-El of Earth-One.
