John Constantine and the Floronic Man attempt to find Tefé and the wishing matches. Flashbacks to Constantine's lodge training bridge gaps in time throughout the book. Constantine then goes to look for El Señor Blake and meets him at a bar where he steals the wishing matches from him. Then goes to meet Swamp Thing and uses the matches to return Swamp Thing to his human form as Alec Holland. Meanwhile the government and the Floronic man have captured Tefé.
