Synopsis for "Home Sweet Home"

Many years later, two hybrid boys are being chased by hunters. Gus appears and kills the hunters to save his two sons, Richard and Tommy.

He takes his boys back to their mother, Wendy, and Uncle Bobby. They pray before eating their food that their God should continue to protect them and guide them.

He recalls how he and the other survivors escaped Alaska to return to the Nebraska State Wilderness Sanctuary. A large community of hybrids have since gathered as the humans are dying off from the sickness. Uncle Bobby approaches him to warn him a large number of humans are gathering outside their encampment. He thinks they are poised to attack. Gus warns the that not all humans come to attack. Buddy suddenly appears and agrees with Gus. He takes half of the hybrids to head off the human attack and wipe them out. Gus hesitates, but later joins him in the attack until the humans agree to stop. They instead act as refugees and spend their last days in peace.
