T'oombala is an enemy of the Doom Patrol.
History
T'oombala was the chief of a secluded tribal village that was visited by the explorer Niles Caulder twenty years ago. Caulder become well-acquainted with the villagers and showed them great medicine and other healing techniques from the outside world. T'oomballa felt his authority was threatened since he became chief through his own healing skills, so he framed Caulder for killing a woman's baby and proceeded to torture him for months, breaking and resetting his bones. Caulder was finally thrown into the ocean and presumably killed, but he would survive and lose the use of his legs.
T'oomballa's machinations were uncovered by the rest of the village, and he himself was killed and thrown into a pit, remaining as an undead spirit. In the present day, T'oomballa invades the Doom Patrol's base and attempts to get revenge on Caulder by torturing him again. The resident heroes are unable to harm or touch T'oomballa, however he is killed for good after being stabbed by the Confederate ghost Elihu Washburn.
