This version of Takeo Sato is an adaptation of the classic comic character who appeared in Superboy Vol 2 #45 thru Superboy Vol 2 #47 created by Paul Kupperberg and Alex Saviuk. It is of special note that the writer who created this adaptation of Takeo Sato is in fact Paul Kupperberg, writer/creator of the original Sunburst, and the story that introduces this version of Takeo Sato into the continuity of the Superboy TV series in Superboy Vol 3 #18 is an abridged retelling of the classic 3-part story from Superboy Vol 2.
