He decides to follow the sound of the voice that he has been hearing which leads him to a television studio. He finds two producers there working on an animated character tv show using an unusual electrical camera. One of the men remarks that when he narrates the story of Chameleo man, he feels that the character somehow comes alive. The two men decide to retire for the night and switch off the camera. As a crowd gathers, Webster notices a strange character dressed in a green robe but pays him no special attention. He then boards an airplane but during the trip it goes down in flames and crashes. Webster does his best to help rescue as many of the passengers as possible since he is totally unharmed. The next situation finds Webster rescuing a man as he is about to be carried away down a waterfall. Webster protects the victim as they fall down into the rocks and the green figure appears once again. The figure upset because Webster has been helping victims cheat death and he cannot claim them. Webster realizes that he is speaking to death himself but he feels confident that he cannot be harmed since he is immortal. The figure then shackles Webster with a bolt like strap making him a prisoner of death. As they walk through the crowds, people start to drop and collapse into a coma. Death is delighted because he will soon claim them all. Webster then realizes that he himself is casting this spell over everyone making them fair game for death. He reasons that this must be the curse referred to by the vial he drank. Death had been following him all along. He then wishes that he could be mortal again and Death starts to disappear. Apparently the green gaseous cloud had heard Websters wish and exited his body. Everyone then starts to recover from their coma and Webster returns to his normal self.
