The author has himself clarified it's not canon. James Tynion said it's non-canon per his understanding. I listed their responses about it on the Batman/Catwoman Vol 1 page. Haroldrocks decided to keep it as "might-be canon" because the artist Clay Mann said it could be canon. That's not however what we should go by for canon, since his tweet was a playful response to a news report about Tynion saying it's outside the bounds of continuity, with Mann asking "or is it? [canon?]" [1] Besides the writer's word matters more since they have more direct contact and knowledge abut such things.

Also it's to be remembered that King said he wants it to define Batman's status for future comics while saying it's non-canon [2]. So it's easy that might bed canon in future is what Mann meant. Regardless, it seems more like a non-serious response by Mann confusing up things and not what we should go by in deciding canon. Also the statement by King was made long after Mann's so it should be considered a more updated knowledge.

It's clear Tynion isn't going to follow Tom King, something he hasn't done since the beginning of his run. So I doubt it will now either. I think the characters in it should be split into their own continuity (Batman/Catwoman). Sure it can become canon later, but until it does we shouldn't call them Prime Earth. That's too much inserting our own thoughts into what is canon or not. MatteJohnny (talk) 05:51, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Even if it's not technically canon, it's still valid information. I'd rather have it as non-canon mainstream rather than its own universe, with a note on its status. --Tupka217 (talk) 12:29, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
I've done as you suggested. MatteJohnny (talk) 12:50, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
