Earth-Forty?[]
Does anyone know why Crisis on Infinite Earths: Absolute Edition places part of this issue on Earth-Forty, the home for non-canon Earth-Two stories? Are they saying Alfred's fictional tale in "The Return of the Second Batman and Robin Team" happens on Earth-Forty maybe? Shadzane 💀 (talk) 19:38, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- It seems that way, but if you ask me, it's all fussy fault-finding. - S.S. (talk) 21:12, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- I agree. Why do Alfred's stories have to happen anywhere? I understand that, in a Mark Gruenwald-style omniverse, everything has its own universe, but I don't think the pre-Crisis DC multiverse was an omniverse... Shadzane 💀 (talk) 21:37, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- Exactly. That was not the original intent of the stories. When put in perspective, this specific case is just a massive "retroactive-retcon" to turn imaginary stories into "hypertime realities". I'll leave others to judge the worth of such endeavour. - S.S. (talk) 21:46, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- In general, I'd rather that the Absolute Edition's attempts to force stories and hallucinations into other universes not be a thing we treat with any kind of obeisance. It feels fancrufty, and is nitpickier than even we typically are. - Hatebunny (talk) 22:02, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
